It's Sunday, June bank holiday (UK). The day started off busy and full of activity, and the evening feels as stretched out as a... as a... as a stretchy thing.
I am not good with analogies.

I hope everyone is doing okay! It's Tradition is ticking along nicely and the Nigeria project has picked up again. Several projects have fallen through but that is the nature of self-employment. I've since started looking for more stable work so much of this week has been spent going here there and everywhere attending interviews.

I was thinking lately.

Our patrons on Patreon- you guys are absolutely, 100% DIAMONDS! You are keeping me in tea and Geoff in... I dunno, probably the occasional coffee! You guys deserve something. So, here's an announcement.

Our patrons get to ask the comic characters one question- any question you want!

Let me know in the comments what you guys think :D And have a lovely Sunday evening, everyone

Hey guys! How are tricks for everyone? Good, I hope?

It's been mad over on this end. The business, after months of what felt like nothing, has suddenly taken off. I need an accountant and some business classes, haha! It's fantastic and so liberating. It feels like my future is actually in my own hands, and for a massive control freak like me, it's a massively empowering feeling. PHEW!

On a more relaxed note, It's Tradition, the fancomic, is back! In my spare time (ie: Not during crunch time) I have brought back It's Tradition after a few weeks of hiatus. I've also gone through the gallery of comics and organised them a lot better, and created an Imgur mirror which you can find here:

If you want to help support me, even the tiniest amount that helps keep me in PG Tips, I have a Patreon now-

Honestly, you don't have to donate. I'll upload the comics either way, it's an utter joy to create something for the pure fanfiction dorkiness of it all. But if you like what I do, it's so appreciated if you do donate, no matter what it is. I'm thankful for each and every response I get for what I do!

Anyway, that's about it. Have a great evening everyone!!!

Hi guys!

I have a proper grown up website, with a proper grown up domain name!

Over there, I keep an art tips and tricks blog, a portfolo, a CV and contact details for all you lovely peeps. I'll still update this page (On the rare events that I do, unfortunately most of what I do is for clients these days and as such am sworn to secrecy on these projects)

I'll see you guys over there, and take care!

Hey guys! How is life?

I've been incredibly busy (what's new, the world asks) but its ticking along nicely. I've had some wonderful news- I don't have endomentriosis! Everything is healthy! So who knows what those evil, evil pains were that plagued me for well over a year, but they've subsided since October and things are returning to normality. I feel quite liberated, tbh, and I just feel thankful and grateful that I'm healthy. It's wonderful, wonderful news!

Otherwise, everything else is quite normal. Work is ticking along since I've returned from hospital, and time is just running away from me. The days are long and the years are short kinda thing. Of course, life continues to soldier on, and there has been a great many private things happening in mine and my family's lives, but it all seems to be working out well.

I'm currently working on many new pieces for my portfolio. I can't whack out pictures like I used to as I simply don't have the time, but I try my best. Thank you to my watchers who stick around, I'm sorry for the droughts this account suffers from!

How are you all doing?

Hi guys!

I'm back! And first off, let me say thank you to everyone who sent me birthday wishes last week. They didn't go unnoticed and thank you for thinking of me!

The exhibition went -sort of- without a hitch. It was a wonderful experience and very scary, all in all! The Southampton Town Hall in the UK was my subject, and each and every pixel you see was placed there by hand. It's my baby, definitely! The exhibition is now over, and another is in it's place. I must say, I feel very blessed to have taken part.

Secondly, I have a new job! I started it two weeks ago, and I'm working as a Media Developer at a naval base, drawing panels and switches. I would show you guys, but unfortunately I'm sworn to secrecy! (It's the law ;) ) It's very exciting to start work at such an amazing place. Or, at least it would be... if I was there.

I've been off sick for the last four days (ALREADY! ARRRGH) because my pains came back, this time lasting from Wednesday day all through until today. I've been in hospital and am now home, now waiting to see a consultant on Thursday to be diagnosed this time with Endometriosis. This news has come to a real blow to me especially with the health problems I had earlier in the year, not counting the debilitating pain that has come with it. Lying on the bathroom floor screaming at the heavens to take away the pain is not a good look on anyone!
The real pain is knowing that my fertility is dwindling away before my eyes. I'm avoiding all things Facebook for as long as possible as all I see are pregnancy announcements, baby photos, scan pictures etc etc. It's not easy, and I'm not going to subject myself to that until I'm ready to face it again.

I also have another piece of news, happy this time! It's taken a while to tell people as we kept it rather on the down low, but...

I'm engaged!!!!!!!!!!

Time for another update during the relative drought on this website!

So, what have I been doing? I've been very busy on this exhibition still, it's a HUGE piece (about 7 feet long) and all in pixels, so it's pretty crazy stuff. On the great side, I've become pretty proficient at pixel art, an art form I never thought I'd totally master and a technique I hadn't even attempted in my first year of uni three years ago, and here I am featuring in a pretty high profile show with it. Crazy, crazy stuff!

Oh, and here's another wee bit of news. I'll be graduating university soon (the ceremony is in November) and I am graduating with a First, a result that I am totally over the moon with and floored by. It's wonderful, amazing news and I am finding myself more grateful to my friends and family than ever, because I really believe that without their undying support (even when I was a total asshole on 2 hours sleep from frame cleanups) I would have never, ever managed it. Seriously, at the risk of sounding overly mushy, thank you to you guys too. The friends I have on here always had my back, have been patient during the quiet times, and given me a huge boost to my confidence. Thank you!!!

Hi all!

I thought I'd write a journal for you guys to bring you up to speed to what's going on at the moment.

Well, this page is a bit quiet at the moment since I'm really busy dedicating all my art time to a huge exhibition in September in Southampton. I'm going to be in a magazine and everything! I'll also have to talk to a crowd, and as a result I'm absolutely kakking myself at that thought. I'm the only animator in a group of fine artists who know all the right lingo. What the hell am I going to say?
"Hi, I like Megaman. I uh... pixels. Mosaic. Interactive media. It moves. Can I have wine now? kthnxbai"
I'm positive it'll be fine, but I have a very short amount of time to work with and with all this madness going on, it's a worry that I'll even get all of it done in time! Somehow though, I always manage to hit my deadlines. Somehow I'll pull it out of my ass just in the nick of time!

Also, the big move is in T minus 10 days. The flat is mostly packed up and most of my time is spent avoiding boxes, and picking my way gingerly around bags. There's still a bit to do though and it's getting exciting, but slightly depressing. Especially since I'm very houseproud and I can't stand the mess! Ahhh, mess everywhere!

The big news however is earlier this week, on my first day at my new part time job, my left ovary decided to say "RAGEQUIT", and a large cyst ruptured. I spent the evening in A and E (ER to you Americans) huffing gas and air and getting very high on Morphine. I was very, very lucky actually because the cyst bled into itself and not into my pelvis, so there wasn't much risk of infection. I spent the night sleeping in many different places, arguing for more painkillers and was in hospital until about 4pm the following evening. I've been recovering ever since, taking some very much needed rest playing video games and being a general slob. So that was an... experience! Of course, the implications are pretty scary... In 3 months I have another lot of scans and if the big cyst is still there/has grown, I might need surgery. But I'm trying to stay positive and hopeful!

During the whole time, Nick was the biggest angel in the world, and has honestly gone above and beyond his boyfriend duties. Awesome dude is fuckin' awesome :D

I promise I'll post more when I can. Stay awesome, folks. :D

Have a life update! WHA HAH!

It's been totally crazy since literally the day I finished university. Straight after handing in my final project, that evening while celebrating with my friends I got an email from the landlord- they're selling the flat and we had to move! So that got the ball rolling to get our new home- a two up, two down HOUSE! Yep, straight out of university and we go into a (still rented) house! With a garden! And a potting shed! And a real gas hob! (Yeah, that sounds silly, but I've never lived anywhere outside of my mum's house that has had gas). I'm so excited at the prospect of going "up to bed" again, but sad in a lot of ways to let the flat go. I'll miss seeing the cruise ships leave and hearing the football matches coming from St Mary's stadium, but we'll be going into a safer and greener neighbourhood.

It was very stressful and very, very busy, but it's all go ahead and we move in in July. In the meantime, I have started my official jobhunt! That seems to be going well so far- after much deliberation, I'm not going into animation as a career. I have many reasons, mainly because of stability, why not. However, I still want to make it a secondary small time gig- one woman operation! Whoo!

So I might as well tell you guys about my new project- it's a small animated podcast similar in vein to the Ricky Gervais show, talking about PCOS and how I got diagnosed, what it means, and why I think the whole situation, whilst sometimes scary, was quite funny. I want to help other girls who are in a similar situation by looking at it from a fresh new angle. So, look out for character designs and follow me with the project!

Tonight is the end of year showing and straight afterwards is a friend's 21st birthday, so it's going to be a lovely night. :) See you all soon!

I have a month! One month and my time as a student is over.

WOW. What a ride. Four years and my life has changed- scratch that, done a complete 180. I can't believe the life I was living when I was 20 compared to my life now at 25. I wish I could travel back and show myself this journal- but I would have probably been too tired to listen much. Too busy working all the time!

I feel a lot older and wiser than I did then, and it gets me wondering what will my life be like in another 5 years?

I hope that, no matter how different my life will be, where I'm living, what job I'll be doing, if I'll be a mother or not, i'll be half as happy as I feel now.

I'm a damn sight happier than I was at 20. And I have a feeling it'll all just improve from here on out.

Once I have more time guys, I'll be posting here more- I'm sorry this account gets neglected, but in between exhibitions, schoolwork and client work (I had to start refusing for time!) any time I had left I just spent it doing something other than drawing!

I hope everyone is well- and thank you all for keeping the support coming. You're all wonderful people :D

Hi guys, long time no update.

Well, what's been going on this summer? Since the breakup of my second year, Nick and I moved into a new flat that overlooks the city. Oh, it's so beautiful. We still have to get a lot for the flat but we've been here for three - four months now, and it really feels like home.

Also, I've had a fair amount of health issues over the summer, with both myself and Nick in and out of hospitals having tests done. It's been an interesting and undignified ride, but it's all coming to an end. If anything, I was diagnosed with Polycystic ovaries and am waiting on a second colposcopy as I MIGHT have pre-cancerous cells, but they wanted to give it a few months before I had the second done- roll on November for that! Oh boy.

The big news now however is the saddest piece of news. I am saddened greatly to write that my best friend from childhood died last week. She had a massive impact on my life, and I treasure her deeply. I still write to her on Facebook and message her about my life and the day I've had, praying for the "Seen at" to show up. The funeral dates are still unknowns, but it's just a case of dealing with every day as best I can. She was too gorgeous for the world.

Anyways, I'll sign out, and have a great day :)

Hi guys! Guess what?

I'm having a break.

I know, I hear you cry. This was supposed to be every day! This is the DAILY DRAWING after all!

And I know guys. I seriously know. And I'm really sorry. But I also need a break. Thing is, I've been working my rocks off with finals, job interviews, professional work, portfolio work (which as they don't happen within a day are exempt from Daily Drawings) and last but certainly not least, a 48 hour film challenge where we went full retard and did it in animation.

Ever drawn for 32 hours straight without sleep? I think we ALL need a break after that.

So DDs WILL return. I promise. But I really, really need a break for a little while. It'll return on the 1st of May while I concentrate on Uni work and resting my hands.

Thanks for being awesome everyone! And if anyone's curious, here's the film we produced.

Things are kicking off guys! And to commemorate this, I've popped together a short but sweet showreel for you guys to see. What do you think?

We're back! Did you miss me? I missed you!

Just updated the gallery with almost all the DDs I did whilst away- I say almost, but one of my sketchbooks have gone AWOL. Considering all the madness, that isn't too bad at all.

Remind me to write all about where we went, what we did, who we met... but maybe tomorrow. Sleep time now.

Hey guys! It's been a wild couple of months with you guys, and I'm loving every minute! However, just so you know, if I'm a little late with updates, the reason being is that I'm working really hard at the moment with university as it's coming up to our hand ins and finals. There's also been a tonne of personal life stuff happening, with Nick moving to Southampton and starting work here is also big main reason. But drawings are still being done every day, it's just I don't always have the time to get them to you. Just means that when you check for updates, you have a couple to get through!

Also- starting from Saturday, I won't be around for 11 days, so I'm afraid there won't be any updates around then. The reason being there is we're off to a family christening on the other side of the country, and then straight from there we'll be going to France to tout Therapist Games at Fete De L'anim in Lille, France, for 8 days. If anyone's in the area during that time, feel free to come say hi!

The drawings will still be happening on every day so when you get 11 days worth of updates in one go on the 27th (You lucky dogs) you can see what we got up to!

And, right after that, normal service will resume. Again, I'm really sorry for the late updates, and I thank you so much for your patience. I love you all!

TL:DR- Lateness in updates due to finals and boyfriend moving in, also 11 days no update due to family stuff and business trip to France.
Hi guys- as part of a new year's resolution, I have decided to draw a new picture every day for the new year- and upload them here! Expect a new upload every day, different, fun, informative. Watch me fail, watch me learn, and have lots of fun!

I decided to do this as a challenge to see how I improve as the year rolls on. It's so exciting to start this, and I challenge anyone who is reading this journal to try it out for yourselves! If you do, make sure you link me to your page so I can see. Watch yourselves grow as an artist over 365 days and challenge yourselves!

Hello! Sorry for not being around for a very long time! I've been very busy working on lots and lots of coursework and projects. It's been very stressful but an awful lot of fun- and frankly I've been a bit shy to put anything up. I haven't meant to ignore you guys, I definitely appreciated the birthday wishes and it was very sweet of you all. THANK YOU!

Thank you very much for your patience, and I hope you enjoy my new work!

Oh my. Oh my.

Recently I have uploaded a few pony pictures. Each one has exploded more than the last and I am absolutely amazed at the attention. All of you are fantastic, lovely and I am very very grateful for each and every fave, watch, and comment. I just wish I could reply to all of them, and everytime I come online I see more and more people enjoying my work. Which makes me so happy!

Then, I get a message from :iconmr-page: with this link:…

And I nearly fainted from shock.

All I have to say is Thank you. Thank you all so very very much, and thanks to you I have a massive smile on my face everytime I come online.

In other news, life has been absolutely crazy. I've been working through college work like a demon and seem to be getting pretty good grades. Unfortunately my situation hasn't been very stable due to money issues but I recently received a lovely letter from HR Customs and a bursary, so at least I have some help now. I also have a few mural commisions coming up which along with Nuts and Bolts, have been taking precedence. So, to the guys who are waiting for online commisions and Ask Blog updates, I'm afraid these things have had to come first. But rest assured they are coming, it's just that whilst dealing with this they have had to take a step back.

And thank you all, so very, very much.
