Very much a true story- I'm currently working my way through Majora's Mask (when I have the time these days) and even though I'm playing through an Emulator, I'm trying to replicate the whole Owl Statue saves thing for authenticity. I was three hours into the Woodfall temple, had all the stray fairies, had all the secrets, I had the boss key and was just making my way through the final room to get to the boss' lair. Then Nick, trying to be helpful, just pushes a few buttons on the computer to show me how to save through the emulator.

He's still making it up to me!

I love how you've animated the eyes! It's so simple, but really helps get the point across.
Great job!

Update- He's gone to visit family for a week, and last night I finally got round to playing it again. I got all those pesky fairies too ;) Thank you!

damn. And you had all the fairies too? Using save states for Majora's Mask is probably the sensible option. Most of the dungeons don't seem to be designed around the fact that people have shit to do. The in game save system doesn't help, either- that whole "going back in time to save progress" thing doesn't even make sense. How does that even work? You lose all your collectible items, too- which baffles me.
Anyway, didn't come here to shit on the game- I love this.  Kinda reminds me of Craig Thompson's diaries, if you've read that. Gotta love that pause.

Haha, no! I haven't seen his diary, but now you mention it, I'll have to go and see for myself. I actually take a lot of inspiration from Bouletcorp and people like that.

And yup... every. bloody. Fairy. All lost!!!! And I don't get to play very often, so when I do have a good gaming session it's pretty precious. Thank you for commenting on my work, I really appreciate it!

thanks for the tip about Bouletcorp- I'll be sifting through the archives on the website for a while.

Also, if you want good emulator zelda, try link to the past-  that game still holds up today. good thing is, it has an in-game save system, and the dungeons are done in much smaller, self-contained chunks. And it still scares me more than that stupid moon in MM.

Ooooh, I'll have to try that at some point. Like I said, I don;t have much time to game anymore! And enjoy Boulet, he's a fantastic artist :)

Yeh- back in November, I did possibly one of the stupidest things you could do during the first term of Uni-
I bought Skyrim. Luckily, my computer crashed, but the temptation to reinstall it lingers...

Really liking Boulet's stuff- do you know of any other artists in this ilk?
